Newsletter September `25
"Job Action Project"
In September, the number of participants in the project was thirteen young people, meaning two spots are still available.
A new participant started working with us in September.
In September, the participants crafted two large wooden boxes for the Einselthum kindergarten. They also built benches for the Gutenberg School in Göllheim. For this project, they peeled solid logs, sanded them, and assembled the individual elements.
In the last weeks of September, initial preparations were made for the open day on October 9, 2025. As part of the class, the participants created posters about their completed work. Here, they collectively reflected on the process of their work, from setting up the workstation with the necessary materials, to safety aspects, and the individual work steps.
As part of the socio-educational support, target agreements were reviewed and support plans updated. Furthermore, individual application training was provided and internship placements were acquired.
Training sessions on labor law, waste separation, and a practical session on illegally dumped waste and its disposal, Europe and Me, and financial and healthy living were also held in September, with the modules occupational health and safety, and keeping a household diary.
We also visited the training fair in Eisenberg on September 25, 2025. Participants took the opportunity to learn about the various careers and companies.
Individual, situation-specific consultations were conducted with participants, based on their needs, in collaboration with the Youth Welfare Office, Job Center supervisors, the Social Welfare Office, and other network partners.
The German course continued.
On September 23, 2025, we visited two former participants at their apprenticeships at BorgWorner in Kirchheimbolanden. Thanks to the JobAction project, they were able to begin apprenticeships as machine and plant operators and as cutting machine operators in August after completing an internship. BorgWorner also informed us that they still have positions available for the coming training year.
